Summer. Time for refreshing fruit salads, swimming, water sports, long weekends, and shorter work days on Friday. Who doesn't love that?

So we've put together 5 tips to help you take care of your skin and glow all summer long!

Tip #1 - Protect your skin from the sun.

Rule #1 is to protect your skin from those sun rays!

Wear SPF 30 or higher every time you're outdoors, even if there is cloud cover. Reapply sunscreen after swimming and excessive sweating. Apart from the face and neck, make sure you don't miss your ears, behind your knees, lips, and tops of the feet.

We also suggest using clothing to cover up. But don't let this replace sunscreen!

In addition to using both clothing and sunscreen, we recommend using skincare products with high concentrations of aloe vera.

Most people know that aloe vera helps heal damage from the sun, but did you know it can provide up to 20% protection from the sun as well. When used with sunscreen, it can also help sunscreen penetrate the skin deeper and last longer.

Combined with an SPF 30 sunscreen, skincare products high in aloe vera will give you what your skin needs.

Tip #2 - Sweat and cleanse, on repeat.

Working out is one of the best ways to get your skin looking radiant.

Exercise can take many forms - don't worry if you aren't a gym enthusiast. Yoga, dancing, house chores, a brisk walk or gardening are all forms of workouts.

Getting outside during the summer will certainly guarantee some sweating.

But also know that every time you sweat, your skin loses its natural oils. That's why it's important to cleanse and hydrate after sweating.

After sweating off some natural oils, we don't want to use a harsh face wash that strips more natural oils.
