A beautiful botanical oil blend can be one of the most versatile products in your skincare routine.
Sole Toscana’s La Dolce Vita Elixir is a nourishing skin and hair oil that can be used from your face and neck to your hands, body, scalp, and hair. Sometimes a few drops are all you need. Other times, your skin may appreciate a little more.
And true to its Italian name, la dolce vita, some of our favorite uses are more about slowing down and giving your skin a little extra care.
Here are 12 ways to use it.

1. As the Final Step in Your Facial Routine
After cleansing, serum, eye cream, and face cream, warm about 3–4 drops between your fingertips and gently press the Elixir over your face and neck.
As the final step, the botanical oils provide an additional layer of nourishment and help support the skin's natural moisture barrier.
2. Between Your Serum and Face Cream
You can also apply La Dolce Vita Elixir after your Neroli Radiance Serum and before your Espresso Bright Eyes eye cream and Rosehip & Calendula Face Cream.
Give the serum a moment to absorb, press a few drops of Elixir into the skin, and then follow with your creams.

3. Mixed Into Your Face Cream
This might be our team's overall favorite way to use it...
For an easy boost of silky hydration, mix 2-3 drops of La Dolce Vita Elixir directly into your Rosehip & Calendula Face Cream before applying.
It's a simple way to add extra nourishment when your skin feels drier due to weather, travel, hormonal changes, or the evolving needs of mature skin.
4. As an Overnight Facial Oil Treatment
When your skin feels particularly dry or depleted, be a little more generous.
Complete your normal evening routine, then apply a richer layer of La Dolce Vita Elixir over your face and neck. Leave it on overnight as an occasional deeply nourishing treatment.
5. For a Gentle Facial Massage
Apply several drops to your skin to create a little slip, then use your fingertips or skincare tool (such as a gua sha) to gently massage your face and neck without too aggressively pulling or rubbing.
Take your time. A few quiet minutes of skincare can be a lovely way to bring a little la dolce vita into an ordinary evening.
6. As a Targeted Treatment for Dry Areas
Dry elbows? An irritated patch of skin on your leg?
Try gently pressing a drop of Elixir onto particularly dry areas whenever they need a little extra nourishment. It's an easy way to adjust your routine without changing everything else.
7. On Your Neck, Chest, Hands & Cuticles
Remember, skincare doesn't have to stop at the jawline.
Extend a few drops down your neck and chest or massage them into dry hands and cuticles. Even easier, use whatever remains on your fingertips after your facial routine on the backs of your hands.
8. Mixed Into Your Body Lotion
Give Sole Toscana's Awakening Body Lotion a little boost by mixing a few drops of La Dolce Vita Elixir into it before applying.
This creates a richer combination for arms, legs, and other areas that could use extra nourishment.
9. Added to a Warm Bath
Add a small amount of La Dolce Vita Elixir to a warm bath for a more nourishing bathing ritual.
Relax, slow down, and enjoy a few minutes of la dolce vita. Just remember that oils can make the bathtub slippery, so use a small amount and take extra care getting in and out.

10. Applied to Damp Skin After Bathing
After your bath or shower, gently pat your body with a towel while leaving your skin slightly damp.
Massage a small amount of Elixir into dry areas, then follow with Body Lotion if you'd like even more moisture.
11. As a Pre-Shampoo Hair & Scalp Treatment
When your hair or scalp feels dry, massage the Elixir into your scalp and work a little through your hair before shampooing.
Leave it on for 15–30 minutes, then shampoo thoroughly. Depending on your hair type and how much oil you use, you may want to shampoo twice.
12. On Dry Hair & Ends
Rub 2-4 drops between your palms until only a light coating remains, then gently smooth your hands over dry mid-lengths and ends.
Especially with fine hair, start with less than you think you need. You can always add another drop.
Where Should Facial Oil Go in Your Skincare Routine?
You may have noticed that we've suggested three options: before Face Cream, after Face Cream, or mixed directly into Face Cream.
That's intentional. There isn't necessarily one right method for everyone.
Different skin types, environments, seasons, and stages of life can change what feels best. Try each approach and pay attention to how your skin responds.
How Much La Dolce Vita Elixir Should You Use?
For everyday facial use, a few drops go a long way.
Start with 1–2 drops when mixing it into your Face Cream and around 3–4 drops when using it across your face and neck. Larger areas, facial massage, overnight treatments, and pre-shampoo treatments naturally call for a little more.
The goal isn't to use as much oil as possible. It's to find the amount that leaves your skin or hair feeling comfortably nourished.
A Little La Dolce Vita, Wherever You Need It

Some days, La Dolce Vita Elixir might simply be the final few drops of your evening routine. Another day, it might be mixed into your Face Cream, massaged into your scalp, or added to a long warm bath.
Our skin and hair don't have exactly the same needs every day, every season, or throughout every stage of life.
Keep it simple. Pay attention to what your skin and hair are asking for. And add a few drops of la dolce vita whenever you need them.
