7 DIY Amazing Skincare Recipes from Around the Globe

1 Africa

This Ethiopian recipe is a full-body treatment for those places where you're struggling with cellulite, and desire a bit more smoothness.


6 tbsp fine sea salt

1 cup ground coffee

3 tbsp olive oil


Mix all the ingredients thoroughly in a large bowl.

While in the shower, apply the scrub onto your skin in circular motions.

Rinse and repeat.

2 Europe

This recipe from Spain is the simplest on the list, but it's a potent anti-aging beauty formula. It works well against stubborn eye bags and gives your face an enviable glow.


One small potato


Slice the potato into ¼" thick slices

Lie down and close your eyes 

Place the slices on your eyelids

Leave them on for 10 minutes.

3 Asia

This beauty mask from India cleanses the skin and removes blemishes. It's stimulating, easy to make, and smells amazing.


2 tbsp plain yogurt

1 tbsp black pepper


Mix all ingredients in a small bowl.

Apply the mask to your clean face and neck while they're still wet. 

Gently rub your skin in a circular motion for at least five minutes.

Rinse with warm water and gently pat dry with a face towel.

4 Middle East

Are you looking for a mask that's soothing and restores your natural glow? This recipe from Iran does it all. It smells aromatic, feels good, and leaves you feeling refreshed.


1 egg white

3 fresh strawberries

1 tbsp rice flour

1 tbsp rose water


Crush the strawberries in a medium-sized bowl.

Add the rest of the ingredients and mix thoroughly.

Slather on your face and neck and leave it on for 30 minutes.

Rinse with warm water and gently pat dry.


5 Caribbean

And now for an exfoliating mask. This stimulating one comes from Cuba with love and antioxidants.


1 Fresh Tomato

1 tbsp brown sugar


Slice the tomato in half,  then dip one piece of the tomato in a small bowl of brown sugar.

Rub the tomato piece in circular motions onto your face and neck.

Rinse with warm water and gently pat dry.

½ teaspoon of brown sugar

½ fresh squeezed lemon


Combine the ingredients in a small bowl.

Rub the mixture on your hands for 3 minutes, then gently massage it into your hands for another minute.

Repeat the process three times before rinsing.

7 South America

This renewing recipe comes from Brazil and is excellent for rejuvenating your skin.


½ cup of oatmeal

½ cup of whole milk


Blend the oatmeal until it achieves a powdery consistency.

Mix it with the milk in a small bowl and stir until it turns to a paste-like consistency.

Apply to your face and neck and let sit for 30-40 minutes.

Rinse with warm water and pat dry.
