1. Set the scene for relaxation.
Begin by gently exfoliating your face with your favorite scrub. Then get in the mood by taking a warm, relaxing shower, having some alone time, or reaching for your favorite book. (You make it even better by incorporating this relaxing break into your daily routine- either morning or evening.)
2. Meditate.
Scientific studies show that meditation helps to calm us down, reducing overreaction to daily stresses. Apply a facial mask of your choice and while it sets, put on some meditation music and meditate for 5 minutes. Tune into your body. Do some breathing exercises and think thoughts of gratitude.
Which parts of your body feel stressed? Shift your focus from those tensed-up parts to more relaxed ones. This lowers physical tension.
3. Crown your “spa day” with a natural moisturizer.
