Music For Better Health

Music For Better Health

Music is a universal language. It connects people from diverse countries and backgrounds. Music is a significant part of who we are as human beings.  Down to the cultural level, it shapes and molds our mindsets.

Music is a channel for free self-expression of individuals or groups. Almost all types of emotion find their expression in music- -love, hate, sadness, anger, and happiness. This makes it one of the most potent forms of communication.

Music isn't something that sits outside of us; it physically and emotionally affects the body and our surroundings. It can alter and interact with almost anything on a molecular level.

For instance, music alleviates pain. Studies show that people who listen to relaxing music have much lower pain levels within their bodies. They also had fewer stress hormones.

Stress reliever

Relaxing music reduces stress by lowering the amount of cortisol circulating through our bloodstream, thus keeping us healthier for longer.

Cortisol is the hormone that the body releases when we're stressed or irritable. Sometimes, it causes the physical manifestation of pain. It's vital that we actively manage stress to keep it to a minimum. One of the easiest ways to do this is listening to healing and relaxing music.

Also, music is said to speed up the body's healing processes and aid in the regeneration of healthy cells responsible for repairing damaged tissues. However, this healing only occurs if the frequency of music is healing and revitalizing in nature.

Healing frequencies

One of the best and most common music frequencies for healing is 432 Hz. Why? This frequency is aligned with the harmony and resonance of the earth.

When we listen to music with this frequency, the body begins healing itself, and stress, anxiety, and tension dissipate.

Unfortunately, most modern music is 440 Hz in frequency, which can magnify mood swings, stress, and other negative emotions and behaviors.

Do some research on some of your favorite music tracks and find out their frequency. If they're not at 432 Hz and you struggle with excess stress, it's time to switch for the sake of your overall health and wellbeing.

Reducing your stress makes for a happier and longer life. Why don't you tap into the healing power of music?
