If you struggle with eating watermelons, how about turning them into a summer drink? Blend banana, watermelon, and freshly squeezed lemon and lime for a fantastic pick-me-up.
1 cup frozen watermelon
Put the banana, watermelon, and freshly squeezed lemon and lime in your blender. Blend until smooth. Serve chilled.
Infused fresh tulsi leaves make a tasty tea, whether you take it hot or cold. Try it out this summer.
1/2 cup tulsi (holy basil) leaves
Enough water to submerge the tulsi leaves
To infuse the leaves overnight, add them to a mason jar, and pour hot water over them until the jar is full. Cover and let sit overnight.
In the morning, put your infusion in the refrigerator. After a few hours, take it out and savor your iced tulsi tea!
Roses in your drink? Oh yes! Roses aren't only pretty to look at; their petals make for a refreshing drink too. They're cooling and calming, making them perfect for the summer. You can also eat the rose petals or add them to salads.
1 cup organic rose petals
2 cups purified water
Put the petals in the water and let sit for a few hours. Strain and enjoy your drink.
Nothing says 'summer' like a thick, sweet smoothie. It's even better when chilled.
1 cup almond (or other) milk
2-3 handfuls leafy greens
1 1/2 cup frozen mango cubes
1 1/2 cup frozen peach slices
1 tbsp. hemp seeds
1 tsp. matcha green tea powder
1/2 tsp. maca powder (optional)
Put all the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
Pour into a pitcher and refrigerate for a few hours.
Serve and enjoy!
