The skin around our eyes deserves a little extra care.
It’s a delicate area, and as our skin matures, maintaining comfortable hydration and nourishment can become especially important. That’s why we created Espresso Bright Eyes with a thoughtful combination of hydrating ingredients, botanical extracts, plant oils, and, yes, real coffee.
So, what’s actually inside that little bottle?
Let’s take a closer look.
Coffee Seed Extract + Caffeine ☕

The ingredient that gives Espresso Bright Eyes its name might also be its most unexpected: coffee.
The formula contains both caffeine (extracted from coffee beans) and Coffea Arabica (Coffee) Seed Extract.
Caffeine has become a popular ingredient in eye-area skincare. A 2024 review of ingredients used in eye creams found caffeine among the ingredients with research supporting potential benefits for common cosmetic concerns around the eyes.
We love it for another reason, too...
There is something wonderfully Italian about beginning your morning skincare routine with a little espresso. 🇮🇹 And if you pay close attention, you may even notice a subtle coffee aroma, especially when using a fresh bottle for the first time.
Sodium Hyaluronate 💧

Sodium hyaluronate is a form of hyaluronic acid, a naturally derived ingredient particularly valued in skincare for its ability to attract and retain water.
That makes it a natural fit for the eye area, where we want skin to remain hydrated, soft, and comfortable without relying on a very heavy cream.
Research on topical hyaluronic acid supports its role in skin hydration and has explored its potential to improve the appearance and feel of hydrated skin.
Think of this ingredient as one of the formula’s hydration specialists.
Aloe Vera 🌿

Aloe is one of the ingredients at the heart of Sole Toscana skincare.
Aloe vera contains naturally occurring polysaccharides and other plant compounds, and it has a long history of topical use. Scientific research on aloe vera and the skin has explored its moisturizing, soothing, and skin-supporting properties.
For us, aloe is especially appealing for mature skin because it provides hydration while still feeling fresh and lightweight.
It also helps give Espresso Bright Eyes the soothing, silky feel our customers often mention.
“Love this eye cream. Silky, soft and refreshing for the eye area.”

Rosehip Fruit Extract 🌹

You’ll also find Rosa Canina (Rosehip) Fruit Extract inside Espresso Bright Eyes.
Rosehips contain a variety of naturally occurring plant compounds, including antioxidants. Research into rosehip and its components has explored their antioxidant properties and potential applications for supporting skin health.
It’s a beautiful example of the kind of botanical we love: an ingredient that has been used traditionally for generations but continues to be studied by modern researchers.
Four Nourishing Botanical Oils 🌿

Rather than depending on one plant oil, Espresso Bright Eyes combines four lightweight oils:
Pomegranate Seed Oil • Grapeseed Oil • Sweet Almond Oil • Prickly Pear Seed Oil
Plant oils contain different combinations of fatty acids and other naturally occurring compounds that can help soften and condition the skin. Research into plant oils and skin health has also explored their roles in supporting the skin barrier.
Each oil brings something a little different to the formula.
Pomegranate Seed Oil contains a distinctive fatty-acid profile along with naturally occurring antioxidant compounds.
Grapeseed Oil is a lightweight botanical oil that helps condition and soften the skin without giving the eye cream an overly heavy feel.
Sweet Almond Oil is rich in fatty acids and has a long history of cosmetic use as an emollient to help soften and smooth the skin.
And Prickly Pear Seed Oil adds another Mediterranean botanical to the blend. The prickly pear cactus (Opuntia ficus-indica) is immediately recognizable throughout parts of southern Italy and the Mediterranean.
Together, these oils provide the richer, nourishing side of the formula while ingredients like aloe and sodium hyaluronate provide hydration.
Shea Butter

Finally, there’s shea butter.
Shea butter is an emollient, meaning it helps soften and condition the skin. Its fatty-acid-rich composition makes it especially useful in formulas designed to nourish dry or delicate skin.
Research examining plant oils and natural butters has also explored how ingredients such as shea butter interact with the skin barrier.
The important part is balance.
Espresso Bright Eyes combines richer ingredients like shea butter and botanical oils with lightweight hydrating ingredients. The result is nourishment without needing an excessively thick or greasy eye cream.
One 76-year-old customer described that balance particularly well:
“It isn't oily or greasy. Just moist.”
— Ariel A., Espresso Bright Eyes Customer
Why Put All of These Ingredients Together?

This is where formulation matters more than any single “hero ingredient.”
You have sodium hyaluronate and aloe vera providing hydration.
You have shea butter and four botanical oils helping soften, condition, and nourish.
You have rosehip fruit extract contributing naturally occurring botanical compounds, including antioxidants.
And then you have espresso + caffeine, ingredients chosen specifically with the delicate eye area in mind.
Rather than asking one ingredient to do everything, the formula brings together ingredients with complementary roles.
What Women Are Saying About Espresso Bright Eyes
Of course, an ingredient list only tells part of the story.
What matters most is how a product actually feels and performs in your own routine.
Our customers often talk about hydration and softness. Others tell us they notice a difference in the appearance of puffiness or the overall look of the eye area.
One customer shared:
“A tiny bit goes a long way. Makes my eyes less puffy and the under eye area feels tighter.”
— Jolene, Espresso Bright Eyes Customer
Individual experiences will always vary, but these comments reflect what we ultimately want from an eye cream: delicate skin that feels hydrated, nourished, soft, and well cared for.
A Little Extra Care for the Eye Area
We don’t believe caring for mature skin is about trying to turn back the clock.
Our skin changes throughout our lives, and sometimes those changes simply mean giving certain areas a little more of what they need.
Espresso Bright Eyes was created with that philosophy in mind. A small amount morning and evening gives the delicate eye area its own combination of hydration and botanical nourishment, while fitting easily into a simple daily skincare routine.
And starting the morning with a little Italian espresso?
That part we couldn’t resist. ☕🇮🇹
